Activist, Educator, Founder & Executive Director of Equality for HER

Blair Imani is a Black American Muslim community activist and educator living in Brooklyn, NY. Blair is the founder and Executive Director of Equality for HER. Imani founded Equality for HER in 2014 while she was a student at Louisiana State University.

Blair Imani appeared on MSNBC's The Point hosted by Ari Melber. She has also spoken at Harvard University for the inaugural National Muslim Women's Leadership conference and at the Harvard Kennedy School's 2017 Black Policy Conference.

During the run up to the 2016 Presidential election, Blair Imani used her growing platform to speak about the intersections of Black and Muslim identity. She was first described as an activist following her July 2016 arrest at a Black Lives Matter protest in Baton Rouge in response to the killing of Alton Sterling. 

Imani is a recognized authority on diversity and inclusion. She is dedicated to redefining womanhood and honoring the humanity of all people.
